Meet the Team

Sarah K.

Office Manager

A lifelong North Carolinian, Sarah has called Greensboro home for over a decade and shares life with her husband, Joel, and five spirited feline companions.

When she is not supporting clients and the Top Tails team behind the scenes, she enjoys traveling and thrifting.

Sarah knows how much the little details matter when people are away from home, and she helps keep things running smoothly for our clients and team.

Christine

Team and Training Coordinator

Christine is a biologist and conservationist with over 20 years of experience in marine science and a strong commitment to animal welfare. Her current work focuses on turtle conservation and promoting ethical, sustainable practices to protect wildlife and their habitats.

Outside of her conservation work, Christine enjoys supporting the team at Top Tails, caring for her rescue turtles, relaxing, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Elia

Team Lead

Elia has been with Top Tails since 2023 and will always have the special distinction of being our very first employee.

A retired educator with a background in public education and nonprofit assessment, Elia brings patience, experience, and careful attention to her work with pets and clients.

Outside of Top Tails, Elia is an avid tennis player and enjoys time with her husband, two sons, their dog Pete, and their two cats, Whiskey and Bitbit.

Tracie

Team Member

Outside of her work with Top Tails, Tracie enjoys trivia nights and gardening with her husband.

Shaina

Team Member

Shaina holds a master’s degree in animal physiology from Mississippi State University and is currently pursuing a degree in cardiovascular sonography at Forsyth Tech.

At home, Shaina shares life with her partner, Nate, two dogs, one cat, and a toad. She was drawn to join Top Tails after seeing the thoughtful, detailed care provided to her own pets.

Sarah B.

Team Member

Sarah has been part of the Top Tails team since July 2024. She graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental biology and is now pursuing her master’s degree in entomology and nematology through the University of Florida.

Sarah loves spending time outdoors, so walks with the dogs in our care are always a highlight. She has cared for many pets over the years and enjoys getting to know each pet’s routine and quirks.

Benjamin

Team Member

Benjamin is happy to be part of the Top Tails team and looks forward to supporting fellow pet parents when they need a helping hand.

Bethany

Team Member

The photo shows her with her childhood dog, Molly, who was her constant companion growing up and sparked her love of animals. In her free time, Bethany enjoys crocheting and creating gifts for friends and family.

Ellen

Team Member

Ellen brings nearly three decades of experience as an elementary school teacher to her work with Top Tails, where patience and kindness shine through in every visit. She shares her home with her dog, Teddy, who keeps her active and entertained.

Outside of pet care, Ellen enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters — especially when they’re baking (and enjoying) chocolate chip cookies together!

Faith

Team Member

Faith is a 2025 graduate of Western Carolina University and is currently working on her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at UNCG.

Outside of work and school, Faith enjoys reading, relaxing by the pool, and spending time with her Husky, Victoria.

Hadley

Team Member

Hadley is a lifelong athlete and a member of the Wingate University Women’s Swimming & Diving Team. She is also pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Hadley is a lifeguard with training in First Aid, CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support.

When she is not busy with Top Tails, lifeguarding, or swimming, Hadley enjoys baking, cooking, reading, and spending time with her dog, Jack.

Erin

Team Member

Erin recently moved to Greensboro from Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Temple University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English.

She volunteers with Guilford County Animal Shelter and plans to foster soon. Erin has enjoyed exploring Greensboro’s trails and also stays busy with yoga and reality television.

Meredith

Team Member

A High Point native, Meredith graduated from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences.

She is now pursuing her master’s degree in music at UNCG with a concentration in vocal performance. When she is not working with Top Tails, you may find her performing in operas through UNCG and other local opportunities.

Josie

Team Member

Josie is originally from New York State and works as an elementary school teacher for Guilford County Schools.

She has three adult children, one cat named Marty, and one dog named Chip. Outside of work, Josie stays active with pickleball, tennis, biking, and gardening.

Brandon

Team Member

Brandon flies the friendly skies as a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines and lends his talents to Top Tails in his spare time.

A Greensboro native, Brandon is a graduate of UNC Charlotte, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Before returning to Greensboro, he worked for the Miami Heat.

Carroll

Team Member

Carroll grew up around horses and has carried that love of animals with her ever since.

Outside of Top Tails, Carroll works as a travel agent and enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, and their dog, Bodie.

Amelia

Team Member

Amelia is a 2021 graduate of Appalachian State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Wellness. She is now pursuing her degree in physical therapy assisting.

Amelia enjoys spending time with her dogs, Chip and Rosie, and recently bought her first home. She especially loves doing Adventure Walks for Top Tails and visiting local trails with the dogs in our care.
