Meet the Team
Elia
Hello, I'm Elia! I came to Top Tails because of my interest in bringing care, comfort, and companionship to animals, as well as peace of mind and supportive pet sitting services to our clients. I am a retired educator, having taught in Guilford County, as well as worked at a private nonprofit educational testing and assessment organization. When not busy visiting Top Tails’ clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two sons, and canine friend Pete!
Brianna
Hi, my name is Brianna! I am a carpenter by trade and have over 5 years of experience as a veterinary technician. I share my life with my husband and two orange cats, Tucker and Lando. After graduating from App State in 2016, I have worked with animals in various ways. I enjoy staying active with hands-on projects and caring for your pets just as I do my own! Top Tails gives me the perfect opportunity to continue my passion for working with all kinds of animals.
Shaina
Hi, I’m Shaina! I have always had a passion for caring for animals, and have been surrounded by a variety of different pets for as long as I can remember! After completing my masters degree in animal physiology, at Mississippi State University, I moved to Greensboro to accept a position at the North Carolina Zoo. Working at the zoo has provided me with the opportunity to gain experience caring for and handling a wide array of species. I currently have two dogs, one cat and a toad. I decided to join the Top Tails team after being blown away with their thorough, top-notch service while caring for our own pets. I look forward to continue building my animal care skill set and getting to meet all of your pets!
Mattie
Hello, I'm Mattie! Furry friends are my favorite. I was born and raised in North Carolina, and I have spent almost a decade with Mason, my own adorable‐ yet rather excitable- dog. I pride myself in both being a good communicator and maintaining a positive attitude. I have always loved spending time with animals of all shapes and sizes, ever since I was little! I am thrilled to grow and learn not only as part of the Top Tails family, but with you and your beloved pets!
Tracie
Hello! I'm Tracie and while being a freelance graphic designer, I've been rescuing and fostering animals for many years. I currently have a young canine companion Frankie. Pets are so important in our lives and I believe in the best care and service for everyone. When I am not keeping Top Tails' clients company, I spend time with my husband with activities such as doing trivia and gardening. I look forward to meeting and spending time with your crew!
Sarah
Hello, I’m Sarah! I recently graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in environmental biology, and I’m planning to pursue a master’s in entomology. I love being outdoors, so taking your furry friends for walks is always a highlight. With years of experience caring for my own pets, I’m excited to bring that same love and attention to yours. I can’t wait to create a positive and fun experience for both you and your pets!
Ellen
Hi, I'm Ellen! With 28 years of experience as an elementary school teacher, I have a knack for patience, understanding, and care—qualities that extend to my love for pets. I have a wonderful dog named Teddy, who keeps me company and also keeps me on my toes! When I'm not teaching or pet sitting, I love spending time with my husband and our two daughters. We often enjoy baking (and indulging in) chocolate chip cookies together. At Top Tails, I’m dedicated to providing the same love and attention to your pets as I do to my own. I look forward to meeting your furry family members!
Natalie
Hi, I’m Natalie! I’m currently pursuing an associate degree in the sciences at Rockingham Community College and planning to transfer to a 4-year university to major in biology and complete my pre-med prerequisites. I’ve always had a deep passion for animals and have been lucky enough to work with a wide variety. I’m excited to bring my enthusiasm and care to your pets, making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well-loved while we’re together. I can’t wait to get to know them!
Lou
Nice to meet you! I am Lou. I am from the Midwest, and I’ve called Greensboro home for 5 years. I love the city’s size and access to my favorite hobbies like hiking, fishing, swimming, and the arts. During the day you’ll find me advising university students, and at home I attend to four spoiled cats. I have loved animals my whole life, caring for dogs, cats, goats, reptiles, horses, birds, and more. It’s my joy to meet all of your animal family members and provide them with excellent care!
