Dog Walker in Hamilton Lakes, Greensboro, NC
The Hamilton Lakes area is one of Greensboro’s most established and well-connected communities. It is walkable, residential, and home to plenty of dog owners who want professional, trustworthy care for their pets. Top Tails of Greensboro provides exactly that, right in your neighborhood.
We are a locally owned dog walking company that has been serving Greensboro since 2019. Our team of insured, background-checked walkers brings consistency, care, and real communication to every single visit.
Professional Dog Walking Built Around Your Schedule
Whether your dog needs a midday break while you work, a consistent daily walk to manage their energy, or an occasional visit when life gets busy, Top Tails is here to help. We offer 20-minute, 30-minute, and 60-minute walk options to suit your dog’s needs and your day.
Hamilton Lakes is one of Greensboro’s best neighborhoods for dogs who love a good walk. The Hamilton Lakes Park Trail loops around scenic Lake Hamilton, follows a trail along the stream, and gives local pups plenty of new sights and smells to enjoy.
Routine matters for dogs, and our team helps give your pup the exercise they need, whether they are exploring the neighborhood or enjoying a simple midday break.
What You Get With Every Top Tails Walk
When you book with Top Tails, you are not just hiring someone to hold a leash. You are choosing a team that takes the time to truly get to know your pup, their personality, and what helps them feel safe and happy.
Every walk wraps up with a report card that includes GPS tracking, photo updates, and notes on how your dog did, what they enjoyed, and anything worth mentioning. You are always kept in the loop.
Our walkers are trained employees of Top Tails, not gig workers, and every team member is fully insured, bonded, and background checked. This means we know these streets, we know this neighborhood, and we genuinely care about the community we serve.
Adventure Walks for Dogs Who Need More
For high-energy dogs who need more than a neighborhood stroll, Top Tails offers Adventure Walks. These are longer, exploratory outings that take your dog to parks and open spaces beyond the block. More exercise, more stimulation, and a genuinely tired pup by the time they get home.
If your dog tends to bounce off the walls no matter how many walks they get, an Adventure Walk is worth a conversation.
A Free Meet-and-Greet Before Your First Walk
We begin every new client relationship with a free meet-and-greet. This is a no-pressure, in-person visit where one of our team members comes to your home to learn about your dog’s personality, routine, leash habits, and any specific care needs.
From there, we assign a small team of walkers who can provide consistent care and backup support when schedules change. Your dog is not relying on one person’s availability, and you can feel confident knowing their care notes, preferences, and routine are shared with the team caring for them.
The goal is simple: to make sure we have everything we need to care for your dog well from the very first visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does dog walking cost in the Hamilton Lakes area of Greensboro?
Most of our dog walking clients are part of our Walk Pack for recurring weekday walks. Pricing starts at $27 for a 20-minute visit and $31.50 for a 30-minute walk. If you need occasional walks, weekend visits, or something more customized, we offer those options too.
Are Top Tails walkers insured and background checked?
Yes. Every member of our team is fully insured, bonded, and background checked before walking any client’s dog. Your pet’s safety and your peace of mind are both priorities for us.
Will my dog see the same walker every time?
Your dog will have a small team of walkers who get to know them over time. That means your pup has a few friends to look forward to, and we are not relying on just one person’s schedule. Everyone follows the same notes, routine, and preferences, so your dog can settle into a routine and enjoy their time with our team.
How do I know what happens during the walk?
After each walk, we send a report that includes GPS tracking of your dog’s route, plus photo updates and notes from the visit. You always know what your dog was up to.
What is included in a meet-and-greet?
The meet-and-greet is a free in-person visit before your dog’s first walk. One of our team members will come to your home to learn your dog’s routine, personality, leash habits, and care needs. We require a meet-and-greet for all new clients so we have everything we need to care for your dog well from the very first visit.
What is the difference between a regular walk and an Adventure Walk?
A regular walk is a neighborhood walk near your home, focused on routine, fresh air, and exercise. An Adventure Walk is a longer outing where we pick up your dog and take them to one of our favorite local trails or parks for more time to sniff, explore, and stretch their legs.
Do you serve areas near Hamilton Lakes?
Yes. In addition to Hamilton Lakes, we serve Guilford College, Starmount and the surrounding areas in zip code 27410, as well as many other Greensboro neighborhoods. See our full service area for details.
